½ credit, RequiredModern World History courses provide an overview of the history of human society in the past few centuries—from the Renaissance period, or later, to the contemporary period—exploring political, economic, social, religious, military, scientific, and cultural developments. The course presents a chronological narrative of world history which will focus on significant historical periods from the Renaissance to the present. Eras covered will be the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Scientific Revolution, the Age of Enlightenment, the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and the post-Cold War World
