Topics covered: hand/power tool and shop safety; wood identification; project assembly; equipment; construction of a project. The course provides instruction and information concerning hand/power tool and shop safety. During this course each student will be proficient in wood identification, designing a project, estimating the cost of the project and assembling the project. This course gives the students the basic concepts of woodworking techniques and know-how to safely run woodworking equipment.
