½ credit, ElectiveThe course is intended to introduce the student to newspaper journalism and help develop a proficiency in the different facets of newspaper writing and publishing, general photography, and opportunities in journalism and related fields. Students will have the opportunity as knowledge and ability develop to assist with yearbook and newspaper publications. Since the major emphasis of this class is on writing, the student is expected to have proficiency in English grammar and composition.
